So nobody kill me, I have been reading the different threads on tire size. I just picked up my white TRD Pro and already want to go larger with the tires or swap out for the 4Runner Pro 17s. Looking for experience here with both as I want a larger more aggressive tire, but don't want to compromise daily driver comfort (relative term) and don't want rub. What is the largest tire size anyone is running on the stock 16s? Same question on the TRD 17x7s? Thanks for your advice.

As far as the 16s go. I run a 265/75/16 KO2s with no issues. This is on an TRD Off Road. But it has the same wheel size as the PRO.

Largest you can go stock would be 275/70/16...just had ko2's installed yesterday and took them back today lol. I had them put back my stock tires for now. The tires weren't comfortable as a daily driver.

What didn't you like about the KO ride? They seem to be the tire of choice from the threads I've read. My friend who works at Toyota is pushing me to go with Nitto Terra Grappler G2s. I have never run Nittos on anything, but he swears by them.

Seemed like the steering was way too loose...for instance, for a normal curve in the road, I would have to turn the wheel 50% more. Maybe it's because I did go one size up and the fact that the tread is thicker than our stock wranglers. Idk, just didn't feel go to me. Ive only heard great things about the terra grapplers, so I may do those-but I'll probably stick to stock 265 size :boom:

Anyone know what heat rating for HIDs will match the stock running light and fog light LEDs? Jumped on a deal to reserve a new truck and want to compile parts before it arrives.

Did you buy them brand new? Did you experience any difference with steering after they were put on?

AHAHAHA did someone put a sub frame lift on a PRO? Way to ruin it not to mention ridiculous tires and wheels.

Anyone know if @trd_pro_tacoma is on here? He is running what I think I'd like to go with, but want some feedback on the drive. He is running the 4Runner TRD Pro 17x7s with 275/70/17 BFG KO2s. Anyone running a similar set up?

Thats me. The drive is rougher with higher psi but not terrible. You'll notice a drop in mpg by 1-2mpg depending on how u use the skinny pedal. No rubbing on road. Have yet to use it off road but dont see it being a problem.

I should probably just try these huh? Maybe the 275's were just too big with the stock lift
