Here's a DIY video on how to add 45WHP for $550 in 4hrs.
Simple bolt on to a completely stock 4.0L Tacoma.
    Dynojet stock: 181WHP
    Dynojet Nitrous kit: 226WHP
Running a 55 shot. Getting 20-25 shots per 10lb tank.

So simple I'm shocked there's so little useful information about how to do it. Turbos and superchargers undeniably have their advantages, but at 10x the cost.
Here's the DIY video. Good luck! :D

Here's where I bought the kit. Cheaper than other sites and free shipping:

so with this kit, i assume you activate the switch in the car. Then when you hit WOT it gives you the shot? does the shot last as long as you are WOT

Exactly. But to be completely honest it actually kicks on at about 3/4 throttle, not WOT. It's pumping nitrous for as long as you have it above 3/4 throttle.

I ran a nitrous express wet kit in a car once. It was fun while it lasted. My problem was I always wanted more. Started with a 25 shot for a few weeks. Then to a 50 shot for a few weeks. The 75 shot is what eventually popped the engine. The O2 sensor sure didn't like it either. I went through one of those about every 4 runs. Nitrous is easy horsepower for the money, and it looks cool, but I'll never do it again. Lol.

Dunckel- I hear ya. I'm already getting bored with 55 shot and plan to move to the 75 shot. I have to tune back the timing 2 deg. according to the kit requirements. I'm curious what type of motor you were running nitrous on? A 75 shot in a small motor is a lot to ask. I'm hopeful the 4.0L can handle it since it is a bit over engineered to handle the factory s/c pressures.

It was a 2.5L engine from a Dodge Shadow. Lol. I was only 17 years old. I wanted the faster cars like my friends had at the time, but didn't have the money. So I bought nitrous...which ultimately blew my engine. Lol. It was my fault though. I didn't know what I was doing. It was that summer that I figured I should probably learn to understand how an engine works if I was going to be modifying things.

I would definitely retard the timing by a degree with the 50hp shot. Invest in a good fuel pressure regulator and keep an eye on your AFR.

Like the mod a lot. Interested in the tee adapter that you bought for fuel. Where did you find it? I would like a fuel pressure sending unit/gauge and trying to find the best solution.

Derek, sorry about the delay. I don't get notification when someone comments on my thread.
The connector is a Dorman Quick Connect 800-177. Google it and you'll find several websites to order it from. Cost about $8.

nitrous is always a gamble. i did nitrous back in the day with honda engines. 1.8's with 2 cams. i pushed 100 wet with beefed up internal parts. it was a beast. sold the car and parted my tools and accessories.

life has been much simpler now without nitrous. . bought me a pick up truck in 2014. never looked back. lol

10x the initial cost. Turbos and superchargers don't run out. You don't have to heat the bottle all the time. And in most places running nitrous on the street is illegal. Don't get me wrong I've used it and you will pop the engine it's not a matter of if it's when.
