Bilstien makes some Digressive valved shocks, though I dont think for our application. There are some others too, but I cant remember their names off hand.

Chris, are the factory bottom shock bolts utilized in installation, or am I missing a part?

Hello Chris, thank you for this write up. I am purchasing these same shocks for my '09 dbl cab and I was wondering if you think it would be worth it for my to throw in some icon bump stops as well? (they are currently on sale at SDHQ for $565) I will be running them with Allpro expo leafs (on order) and I have a pretty consistent load in the bed of around 450-600#. I realize that it may be kind of a guess for you because you run a different leaf set up, but any advice you may have on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I ran the OEM bump stops without issues, but most of that depends on how hard you are off road.

I have the Expos with the icon 2.5's in the back of my wife's Tacoma and it has never bottomed out even with the bed full of camping gear. She drives it pretty hard on the trails too. We brought home a 500# gun safe and it only squated the back a couple inches so there is still plenty of travel left with that.

Good info. Thanks Kenney. But I need to be honest, I already ordered them yesterday OOOOps. I hope I didn't waste my hard earned scratch. I guess I still may need them because when I total out my weight manifest with what I carry (flip-pac camper shell, Fridge/Freezer & Stove on a combo Slide, Drawers, and plans to get a swing out bumper + water and the rest of the useless crap I take) I may be pushing around 700-750# Yikes:eek: And some of these AZ roads still amaze me with how gnarly they can be. In case you haven't noticed, this is just me justifying it to myself. But now you fellas got me thinking, maybe its a waste. I really appreciate your input on this. Thanks guys.

Its not a waste, as they are Much better than the OEM ones.

Hey @chris4x4 thanks for all the posts you've made. I've definitely used more than a few of your tips that have made my life a whole lot easier and thanks for answering a couple questions in the past. Anyway installing some fox 2.0 shocks today and just wondering your opinion on loctite on stem threads? I've heard a few people mention it and the nut that was supplied isn't a lock nut just regular. Thanks if ya get to this if not no worries

Blue locktight would be fine, but just use a little.
