Im gonna go out on a limb and say u cant get a motor for $100. My buddy just got a 2.4 ecotec (the motor that replaced the cavy 2.4 or 2.2 what ever in 06 when they made the cobalt) for his buggy and i think it was a touch over 2 grand pulled and shipped.

 

not anymore. when people actually used to take a cavalier to the drag strip/local racer hangout, yes.

However, you can get a ford Zetech for a focus for $150 with 130k on it.

 

Good to know that things were no different regardless of what coast you were on.

 

Posted this picture in another thread. Just received these for my rear disk conversion calipers. After the one for my clutch line made me enjoy bleeding the clutch, due to the ease of the job, I couldn't pass them up for the calipers.

 

I've got the lower tech version of those (speedbleeders) on my truck calipers. they are lifechanging!

think they make it in an M12?

 

I actually was looking for you, after seeing your issue in your other build. No luck on Summit's site.

I need to get two more pair for the front, since there are 4 up there. That will really help!

 

2 bleed screws per caliper? That will certainly help. That's almost a 3 man job at that point without them

I think this could be a handy device for people who do a lot of camping and out doors traveling.

Will be boosting via s/c in the next couple months, and prior to boosting I'd like the piece of mind to monitor my engine vitals. Looking for info. on how to get this done. Oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp., fuel pressure. Already selected AEM wideband, and boost gauge. Any info. or direction is much appreciated.

 

I wouldn't get a fuel pressure. You'll be able to know something is wrong based off of the wideband. I rocked oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp on my old car.

Oh and boost but that's really only for tuning and fun factor.

 

For the oil pressure and temp, if you aren't making an oil cooler kit, then there are sandwich plates available. Simply for sensors. Which would accomodate both oil needs.

As for coolant, I use my scangauge. It is handier because of the multipe gauges. Displaying Ignition timing, Inlet Air Temps (IAT's), Throttle position, and whatever else, to diagnose or monitor.

As far as fuel pressure, if you do the pump upgrade, the easiest gauge would be the fuel rail adapter and a mechanical gauge which goes into it. URD sells that adapter. It will be handy in the event that the fuel line splits for some odd reason.

 

After reading through your build early on, I saw that you used a Greddy sandwich plate after your ground off some of the oil splash guard. Are those still around? Any recommendations on a plate? I'm assuming you can use the plate to also create lines for oil cooler?

Later on, I saw that you used an existing hole under the oil filter area and placed and NPT to AN adapter. How'd that work out for you?
