I came across a "deal" for what is described as a TRD OR 3rd member with ARB RD132 Locker installed and 4.56 gears. for sale locally.

Well damn, I'm running a base rear end, and not a Sport / TRD / OR rear...

I know you cannot install an E-Locker 3rd member into a base 8.4 "non-N-Locker" housing with the factory E-Locker... There has been no "retrofits"

Since the E-Locker has been removed, and deleted and... can you install a 3rd member that the factory locker has been swapped out for an ARB RD132 into a base housing?

Keep in mind I've never seen an e-locker rear end in person or worked on one [so forgive me if this is common knowledge.

I'm sure If I had two units side by side I could figure this out on my own, but then again if I had a locked rear end I wouldn't be looking at options!

    So... Will it work?

    8.4" vs 8" ? Anyone?

You can't swap parts between the 8.0 and 8.4 diff. The third member mounting bolts are spaced differently.

Here is a good read about someone who attempted this.
