What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Got the light on for low fuel, it blink once and I put some premium gas today because Shell has 10c off promo adding other 10x i got fuel rewarda so end up 2.25 per gallon, I know many theories about gas quality but I believe on Shell and Exxon unleaded only.

Today I experiment with the premium quality since I let run out almost to empty, in 3 months of ownership who knows what gas 1st owner runned so i put aimsoil gas treatment couple months ago and I guess today"s premium kind of 2nd clean up.

83-87 a-88 octane has nothing to do with being cleaner but the additives in gas make difference? Myth or reality ? But after this ,promo I just will go back to regular shell.

Does anyone run just premium (no supuercharged) just because ?
premium is pricy. Unless experiencing knocking on high milage our engines are fine with 83 octanage
Any different experience/ opinion?

I've never seen 83 octane. Really?? Lowest I've ever seen is 85. That was in Utah and Wyoming and maybe Montana

Waiting for the TC and shocks took a bit, then I was out of the state for like a week and then it's been really cold out and kept running into stupid problems like discovering parts we needed and then having to wait for those to get here etc.

UCA's were wrapped since we needed to tack on the gussets and didn't want the sparks to get them. The rest is wrapped because it has to get taken on and off a hundred times and I don't like scratches.

Beauty doesn't happen overnight

 

Cant risk scratching the shiny bits.

Yeah I feel ya. At first when I put all this money into LT and thought. I can't fuck it up. I want to baby it. But once you get it out there your like "fuck it" let's see what this shit can do.

They were able to make me a couple keys via VIN. My driver side door lock boogered up the only key I had from the person I bought the truck from. Good luck!
