I think that the Green/Grey mottled scheme was probably one of the best looking paintjobs for the hawg ever. its a damn shame they standardized everything on grey that blends in with nothing

I was fortunate to meet and watch Jimmy Franklin perform in Fitchburg MA (KFIT) a long while back with his jet powered Waco.

    ...^^^... Times many ... :)

The A-10 was one of the most cost effective (production & mission) aircraft ever built ... and the big brass originally hated it because of looks and who would manufacturer it.... facts.

The problem with the F-35 fixed wing is they tired to make it into a rotary wing (with "kinda" VTOL).... my opinion.

The problem with the Y-22 rotary wing is they tried to make it into a fixed wing (with "kinda" F/W performance).... my opinion.

Too much Congressional lobbying in the past... my opinion.

Keep the A-10 until UAV's take its' place ... or bring back the Fokker D VII ... :plane:

Silly paint got my attention at the airport... googled the N number and found out that Mooney has flown around the world a few times.

NICE! We were going to get a G5 put in our Cardinal, but then decided that it wasn't going to make us 100% happy for what we wanted. Ultimately decided it was a better to just spend the extra money for the Aspen 1000 Pro and get what we really want. Long story short, that didn't happen and who knows it if will because we just found a stellar deal on a '75 V35B Bonanza. Insurance might prevent that from happening though, since I have 0 RG and 0 Bonanza time. We were thinking I could do my commercial training in it.

The Bo outperforms the Cardinal in nearly every way. We have to hear from the insurance agent before we can even think about doing anything though.

Flew in into KPWK (Chicago executive airport) tonight. It was nasty. Barely came up to minimums while we neared the FAF. We were literally seconds from entering a hold to wait for the weather to come up, when we got the ok to head inbound. They cleared the runway just for us.

This is what makes it fun.

This is why I love our insurance company... granted it's commercial aviation insurance... but all I needed to fly the P210 for insurance reasons was a check out from our chief pilot and then I was off to Vegas in it :D

Nice, my dad was telling me that insurance didn't require much of anything for him to fly any aircraft once he had his commercial and CFI. Granted, that was 30 years ago and it could be different now. I don't know

I think I fixed my pilot PTT button so now I don't have to have my headset plugged into the passenger hookups. I need to go fly around and test it to be sure later this week
