I took a little trip to the CMP South Store last week and acquired these gems (my 3rd and 4th CMP rifles)

There are only two stores. One in Alabama and one in Ohio.

Nice rifles! I've purchased 3 Garands and 4 M1 Carbines from CMP - never visited the stores, though. I am looking forward to the 1911s becoming available, too!

Thanks! I've also got a Rack Grade HRA M1 and a Service Grade SA M1903 from them. I may or may not have money tucked away for the day that 1911's become available...

I haven't bought a gun from the CMP in over 10 years. I would be interested in getting a 1911 from them, though.

M1 Garand.jpg This is my special excellent Springfield 1943 from the CMP. I shot all of my guns and this one is dead on.

I bought my two M1's from them. Just rack grades but both were nice.

Id love a 1911 but based on the recent carbines they sold Im not going to hold my breathe on actually getting one
