My wife and I recently moved to Bainbridge Island, and we're headed to Port Angeles for a day and night this weekend. We're thinking about driving up to Hurricane Ridge if possible, though we know there is a lot of snow, and that chains are required to have in the vehicle. I have a stock 4x4.

Has anyone been up there this time of year? Is it unadviseable? Are there other alternatives in the area we should consider checking out?

Either be well prepared with others people with you, meaning other vehicles OR avoid until better weather conditions.

Well Prepared means winch, shovel, lockers, recovery gear, CB, bug out bag in case you have to walk out, sleeping bag in case, spare clothes, friend with a winch, friend with a recovery strap to pull you out.

I'm glad I asked! We'll probably skip it this weekend in the effort of prudent planning
