Y'all know a good place to get a 5lb or 10/11lb propane tank?

 

I got three of the regular household ones... Don't know if that will work for you application

 

Those tanks ain't cheap, but over on Loop Rd in Garner, F&G Distributing they have propane and propane accessories ( say that in your best Hank Hill voice )
The do carry one gallon, 2.5 gallon and larger tanks in stock. And all the accessories you may need to connect them. Will fill also

 

These are smaller than a grill tank.

Yea they're not cheap. $43 is the cheapest I've seen for a 5lb. I want to start using a bigger one for my camp stove, so I stop having 10 partial 1lb bottles laying around.

 

I've got a 2.5gal that I've had for years and used for camping for that reason. needs to be re-certified, but it costs as much as a new one to have done.

 

We use the 1gal ( 5lb) suE to move forklifts around the shop and new stuff off the truck. I'm surprised some of these lifts haven't just crushed the bottle by draw they pull when accelerating, they don't last long, but it beats slinging around 33lb tanks all the time.

 

The fork tanks are aluminum though right? I'd love to have an AL one but they're really damn expensive.

 

Yes they are, just be aware a forklift tank valve draws liquid from bottom of tank (there is a tube from valve base into tank), it either needs to be mounted upside down or have a vapor valve installed.
