saw them a while back, was a really good show!

 

I'm going to see Steel Panther this Friday the 2nd and Saturday the 10th of December. I love them. They're hilarious and always put on a great show.

Phil and Chris seem to be doing a decent job.... im so glad i caught Ivan on halloween. Not sure wtf is going on, but he was in good spirits that night, and was very gracious backstage.

1 warning... the music may not be toooo loud, especially sixxam and shinedown (my home speakers in the liv room blew these sets away). cant speak for as lions cause we were with 5fdp at the time they played..... but theres some fireworks and explosions, they are pretty damn loud, im currently battling ear issues. I think they were too much in a small arena. My ears hurt with high frequencies, feel hot yet remain cold to the touch, and the highs on my klipsch rf7s are just too damn bright right now even set to flat and low volume.

Look into some eargasm ear plugs, get the hifi ones, they drop the db like 10, yet let u enjoy clarity it says.

These may help when the fireworks go off.... we were 6ppl back roughly, and my god it hurt.

Good luck catchin picks, Zo is pretty damn accurate if ur close enough to the pick ninja.

Hopefully they do something different still, i know Ivan sang remember everything a capella with us for the first time... it was odd not having Jason on acoustic, but fun........since its chris and phil now, i dunno.

 

I'll tell you what. I saw him in MA on Black Friday (Google more on that shitfest)

He claimed his mom was dying and spent most of the 8 songs they did wandering around on-off stage. Other reports say he was intoxicated. His sister released a statement their mom is alive and well..others have said he referred to the mom at his sober house.

I hope he gets clean. First things first.

I'm expecting an apology/explanation when that time comes and for them to make good on the promise they made that night to make up the date.

If they do not I'll never give them a dime.

 

Ive watched the videos, and as for what his sister said, id like to see proof it was her and hear it from her mouth, just cause i dont trust any type of news without that kind of input.
Who knows whats up.... I just hope he gets help.

 

Halloween i gave him a hug, and i didnt smell any alky, and no strong aftershave or anything to hide it. I also dont remember seeing him stumble much in the later videos... some yes, but he was also crying and well, the 2 can go hand in hand... and yes, i seen him sitting alot in those videos, but we dont know exactly why.

Shit happens, he has a history yes.... let just hope for the best

I do agree there's history with the family so I don't know what to believe there.

I also know something wasn't right..best case his words were true and that's what I hope of course, but it seems odd he did shows the next 2 nights.

Either way I think he needs to deal with his issues first as he is a person first. But then come clean to those who bought tickets for that show, explain what happened, and make up the date like they said they would do that night.

but in the end, HIPPA has him covered so we may never know the truth. The stigma in mental health (if thats it) is messed up, and alcohol problems are seemingly more acceptable to people. Drinking prollem most ppl are like "knock the shit off, or its rock and thats what happens"...

I mainly care if he tells us he had to go deal with something and if it was what he said it was. If I remember right he is inpatient somewhere presently.

Agreed on the substance issues especially in that profession. And yes that generation especially men were raised you don't talk about that or it makes you a pussy.

I deal with the abuse thing myself on a few levels but I still have to own my screw-ups which is what I expect in due time. I get in a band sense they're focused on finishing the tour and then Ivan of course but in the interim they should drop some kind of general thing that they haven't forgotten. The way it unfolded that night just felt wrong. I walked out that night feeling bad and still do but then to see they did the next 2 shows like nothing happened didn't sit well

 

I came up with the inpatient thing myself.... it made sense, wether mental, substance, or both. Sometimes 1 lead to another.
Maybe he tried to save face with the other 2 shows, and the rest of the boys were like "no man, u gotta go get help".

Just my 2 pennies... he seems like a tormented lil dude inside.

 

So often it does. I've seen people cause mental problems with their drink-drug habit, and others with mental stuff self-medicate with the other things. Bad cycle either way.

Not sure what all the progress was on the other shows. I guess the next night he spoke about having a meltdown and denied it was due to drugs etc. Possible. Seems odd he was gonna get on a plane for the west coast Friday at 11pm and be back in time the next night for a show in this part of the country though so I'm suspect there.

Could be the most calm person in his personal life too..never really know

 

Saw one of my favorite hilarious bands last Friday. Steel Panther!!! Seeing them again Saturday in Cincinnati.

 

The bands were great except 5FDP they substituted the lead singer from All that Remains and ppl were leaving. It just wasn't the same without Ivan.

 

I've heard he sounds good but yes it is very tough to do that stuff. Never see ATR so I can't comment.

Saw Steel Panther twice... December 2nd in Indianapolis and again on the 10th in Cincinnati. Their opening band was called Wilson. Kick ass hard rock outfit out of Detroit Michigan. Check em out.
