Dayton Ohio and Surrounding Area meet up thread

Anyone around the Dayton Area want to start a monthly meet up? I have no idea of places to off road but it'd be cool to just have a meet up and see what everyone's done to their trucks.

 

I'm in. I have a wife and kids so I wont be able to make it every month, but i'll give it a shot. I live off Yankee in Centerville.

Once I get new tires i'll be much more adventurous with this new truck...right now these worn out street tires are horrible...it's teasing me, begging me to go out screwing around but I cant!! Im thinking of going slightly larger than stock, I've heard that 265/75R16s will fit fine without a lift. I like the BFG AT, thoughts?

 

Have you checked out the "**OHIO WHEELIN' & MEET-UP THREAD**" thread? couple guys in there are near Dayton too. Might be able to drum up some conversation there since no one is biting on this one. I've been chatting with them for a couple days.

 

I'm in Troy and would love to get together to talk trucks. I've hosted a wrench day in the past and would certainly be willing to do that again. I need to install a 3" lift that I've been putting off. If anyone wants to help or has their own projects to do, I can provide beer and tools. I've requested off next Friday, 06/17, so that may be a good day for wrenching. Anyone interested?

 

did you already install it? I'm placing an order probably this week so I'd love to wrench on someone else's truck before doing it to mine!

 

I have not installed yet and would love to have another hand help me with my lift. My weekends are fairly open in August; hopefully we can plan something.

Good morning Gents! Havent heard anything from you all in a while. Where have you been hiding? I've been busy this summer, wife and I have each had work trips so not much free time. Bought a new truck though, a 2012 DCSB, TRD Off Road. Huge improvement over my old 2010 Access cab...BTW, do you know anyone interested in buying it? trying to sell it. It's posted on the buy/sell/trade page here.

I wish. The only place I can think of is Caesar Creek area but haven't explored too much around there yet.

 

Yeah, I drove around there in my jeep last summer looking but couldn't find anything that wasn't privately owned...I don't know anyone around here that owns land!

Good morning, we haven't set any plans yet...I'd like to but life seems to be hindering the idea! Busy time of year, especially with two small kids.

I know a couple guys around here that want to go out and try out their vehicles, with a broad range of capabilities. I'll socialize the plans up here for you guys as well if I can get anything going. you guys, please do the same. my biggest problem right now is I can't find a place to go that's less than 2 hours away. I'm looking for some rough trail rides, hill climbs/descents, light rock crawling, water fording, basically ANYTHING!

 

that's the issue. all of the good places are 3+ hours away. I usually just make a long weekend out of it

yeah man, that would be nice....I just can't seem to carve out enough time to do that. ugh. I need to just buy some land to build my own off road park! maybe a big group buy deal! any takers?

 

Good morning guys! I drove over to Thrashing Trails in Xenia this weekend to see if it was still there. Last hits I saw from someone using it was 8 months ago. I drove down into some of it looking for signs of life - nothing. I was hoping to find someone I could talk to, it's in some guys backyard! does anyone know the story on that one?
