i am not new to driving standards - have had 3 out of 6 vehicles with a m/t that I taught myself how to drive. One question I've always had about the standards that hopefully will help others as well - what is the proper way to skip gears in this truck? What I mean by this - when switching for example from 2nd to 4th - when I push the clutch in, should I still move the shifter into third keeping the clutch in and then moving down to 4th? Or is it ok to hit the clutch in 2nd then just move the shifter directly to 4th? Thanks for answering the question of a long time standard driver who doesn't have much knowledge when it comes to auto stuff.
