    I have a 2001 Tacoma extended cab 4 cylinder, no locker switch but has the TRD decal, anyone know any other specifics I could check to see if mine is a TRD or not on a 4 cylinder?

    There Is no TRD package without a rear locker. Other than skids you are not missing much as the progressive front coils are trash anyhow.

    Not sure if I'm not understanding sachou correctly but him and a few others I've read have said that the 4 cylinder TRD's didn't have lockers.

    Not true, Toyota did offer a TRD package for the 4 cylinder automatic Tacomas during the first gen years that didn't have a rear e-locker. It wasn't common, but they exist.

    Google it use that damn smart phones try Siri to get your answers. One simple answer if you don't have that electronic actuator on the driver side of your rear 3rd member you are not a trd even though you have the trd decals, buttons, switches, shocks, skid plates ect....

    Ah, lemme see if I understand you. Your two trucks are the standard by which we all need to use to determine if a TRD is a TRD is a TRD?

    My dad had a non "TRD" 4dr 03 with a locker. Idk if it was swapped in or what, but that has always been the deciding factor for me
    Locker=TRD in my book

    lol, if Toyota brands it a TRD truck then it's a TRD truck. Fact: Some TRD trucks (4cyl autos) came without the e-locker.
