New by question- 95.5?

    Looking at my door tag last night it has a date of 9/95 on it. My VIN decodes to a 96. I see a lot of posts on here about 95.5's. Was 95 the intro year of Gen 1 Tacoma's?

    EDIT- just used google- never mind. The app would not let me delete the post. So, 95 was first year.

    Right 95.5.....
    Toyota was still finishing up the last of the "pick up" in 95 then started production of the tacoma. So they were referred to as 95.5 year model with both models of trucks being produced that year.
