Any other off road shops to recommend in Bay Area?

I saw a listing on Yelp for Any7Offroad but not sure they are still around. I believe there is a good gearshop in Hayward.

No need to bash 4WP but open to positive feedback.

Maybe a good candidate for Sticky?

Jeff at Toy Connection is a busy guy and usually comes off gruff. He has a ton of used parts and can order new ones. I restored my last 85 PU with a lot of parts from his yard.

Meeting George and Brian of Swat Customs, they are pretty good fellas. From what I remember they were full size guys. The last time I was there they were outfitting an FJ Cruiser; but it was all entry level quality components.

IQ Auto owner Jeff is a good dude. He knows his way around heavy industrial diesel work and his underling(can't remember the kids name) can swing a mean wrench. Most of the work they do is common auto service though. That dent mean he doesn't know how to work on a Tacoma; it just isn't his specialty.

Artisan Motors in Burlingame is run by two Master tech Toyota techs. One owns a tacoma. They can fix, upgrade, diagnose any toyota issue out there.

Brian at The Toy Shop in Redwood City is a friend and also former Toyota tech. He is the cleanest, most organized technician i have ever met. I have seen him do supercharger rebuilds, SC instals, full engine rebuilds and all kinds of custom swaps for Toyotas, Tacoma and T4R's specifically. Super chill cat.

Wait are you looking for a shop to purchase items? Or an install/repair shop? 4WP does both, so just wondering.

I think more install / service / mechanic shop for stuff I don't DIY. Plenty of vendors here for parts but sometimes I don't trust general shop with non-OEM stuff although there is plenty they do just fine.

Where are you located? Is it convenience you want of someone being able to take care of the upgrades for you, regular scheduled maintenance or both? I happen to know a lot of shop owners and have owned one in the past. Location helps narrow your search greatly...

Any recommendations on Transmission (auto) if I ever need it?

I usually do the regularly scheduled stuff myself but sometimes it's easier to take it somewhere.

Looking to get my new custom motor mounts installed. I may just try some local mechanics around here that I have used. But would prefer to find some a shop I can go back to as needed when I break something I don't want to DIY
