I'm gonna ask this again cause I really don't wanna waste any money or regret another decision...

My situation: I currently have a 2001 Ext Cab with 5100s set at 2.5 in the front and 5100s and a 1.5" aal in the rear. I'm running 33x12.50x15 BFG KO2s on 15x8 Pro Comp Black Steelies. My problems are that the tires rub a good amount after that pinch weld mod and I have lost a considerable amount of power and mpg because I have a 2.7l engine.

My plan: I am thinking about selling my new tires and rims and replacing them with my stock 265/70r16 tires on my stock rims and then buying 265/75r16 ATs (Duratracs?).

My worries: I'm pretty nervous because I am on a really tight budget (my tire sale with fund my new tires). Also, I'm not 100% sure on how much of a performance/clearance difference I will have by going from 33x12.50s on a steel rim to 265/75r16s on a stock alloy rim. Also, I'm not 100% what it will look like.

Any comments and advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Hunter

265/75/16's are about 31.6 inches tall and 10.4 inches wide. 285/75/16 is close to a 33, 32.8 inches tall and 11.2 inches wide.

The 265's will be great for your truck.

265/75/16 is an inch taller than stock. You won't have any clearance issues at all.

I'm giving you a point of reference. The 265's will be a little smaller, but will be fine for your truck. It's not that big of a difference.

I'm coming from a 33x12.50 so its gonna be an even bigger difference.

That was my point... A 285/75/16 would be closer to your 33x12.50 but not quite as big if you're thinkig the 265's will be too small. You aren't picking up what I'm putting down.

If you are concerned about mpg and power on the 2.7L go with a lighter narrower tire

    Look at tire weight

I know bros like 285-305 tires then they whine about mpg to go to the mall

I have 265/75 with a somewhat similar setup. I think they look fine. With the weight and less width I think you will like the gain in acceleration and should see better mpg

Here is mine. You have more lift in the front but I'm pretty sure my AAL is 1.5 as well
