    As in where I spliced into the stock wiring? That will be next on the list. I was really hoping not to have to pull that corner trim panel, was a super pita trying to get it back in.

    Yeah that's what I meant. did you possibly try a different set of rcas? maybe you have a bad set.

    not yet. i've been thru every connection and cannot reproduce the sound. or has it happened on its own again.

    if the grounding was happening pre-amp, would it still make a sound on the speaker side?
