I carry a Glock 42 when I cant carry a full sized pistol. No one even knows its there...I put it in my back pocket like a wallet and 2 extra mags in my front pocket. Not all that heavy like a subcompact or full sized pistol

If you can get something made up for a steering column holster for this gun I would probably be interested in one too being as I also carry a G30S and like @jc11taco89 says it is no easy feat pulling it from an IWB holster, especially carried at about the 4 o'clock position while sitting in the truck.

I'm not sure there would be anything else that would quite match up like the 26 and 27 would because the G30S is kind of a Frankenstein of different guns, it is the G30SF frame with the thinner G36 slide on top.

Haha I'm glad someone else thinks so also I actually practice drawing from my everyday carry position( 3-4 o'clock) seated in my truck and it would be soooo much nicer to have a holster like we talked about

I've got one. I'm 5'10", weigh 210 lbs and have no issues shooting the 3.3 XDS in .45 auto. My problem with the gun is that under the slide, it doesn't curl back nearly enough for my fat hand with large webbing, so I get slide bite very badly. In a defensive situation, I don't think it would be so bad as I'd probably only shoot 1 or 2 rounds, but I'd hate to only have this on my side in a definite gun fight. Other people have had similar issues with the XDS but go and try one in your hands, grab the gun with your natural pull, and see if the webbing on your hand will be bitten. I'm once bitten, twice shy with mine and don't carry it daily anymore for this reason. I have to think about how I grab it too much, which is not ideal in an emergency situation. Otherwise the gun fine, have shot hundreds of rounds of different varieties in it without so much as a malfunction of any kind. My conclusion: If you don't have fat hands and need a lightweight EDC gun, it's a perfect companion.

Being 6'3 270 lbs and hands like King Kong (size 16 ring finger) I have yet to have these issues that many people talk about like the flesh eating slide and such. I bet I have 2K rounds out of this thing with no issues. Now my Walther PPKS I hate that fucking thing for these reasons people talk about with the XDs....

Absolutely. One of my EDCs is a Ruger SP101 3" in .357 Mag that I carry at 4:00 in a Wright Leatherworks hybrid in walnut.

I meant to tell you @jc11taco89 that I carry that XDS in a Stealth Gear Onyx IWB @ 5:00 with zero print and I don't even notice it even when I'm driving or working on cars or trucks or busting tires or whatever. It's just simply light and comfortable.

I swear that I'm supposed to be genetically aquatic like Kevin Costner in Waterworld with these webby mitts. Not all big guys have them so you might be ok. I do recommend some aftermarket grips as the stippling is a bit slick.

I've also been looking at the 9mm XDS for summer carry. The G30s is a great gun to carry but it tends to print on me if I'm not wearing a sweatshirt or something bulky. Not to mention 11 rds of .45 starts to get heavy after a few hours.

I don't carry my 5" 1911 SS for the same reason. I see you're in Lake Stevens. I used to work there when I lived in Monroe. It was just getting busy when I left in '06. How's the lake?

Lake Stevens is starting to get crazy, building all kinds of new houses and businesses everywhere with some of the unfortunate side effects. It's not too bad but I moved from Everett hoping to get away from the people a little bit, next house I buy will probably be a bit further out. The lake itself gets crazy in the summer, packed with boats but still better than most others nearby.

A few years ago I was up shooting with some buddies outside Skykomish and we stopped at Prospectors Tavern in Gold Bar. Just as we were getting out of the trucks a minivan with three women drove through the parking lot and they yelled at us, "ooh, fresh meat". I'm pretty sure these ladies had about 15 teeth between the 3 of them... Gold Bar
