    Meh....
    Rain?
May be ok with urd if u dont get a leaky 1 like i did.

Volant is a happy medium if they fixed the check engine ligh issue (it was either lean or rich).

K&n isnt great for maf sensors

Airraid i dont know, as i never used this one.

Afe gunna be loud at 2500/3000 rpm range (but its had tons of happy customers for years).

Newer trd intake with plastic lid is made by k&n/aem and is flawed and runs lean.

That said, i ran the urd when n/a and kept trying to fix the seal... i rigged it to stop whistling, but when it rained (yes i ran the splash shield), the maf sensor would get water drops on it at high rpm (freeway merging or passing) and it would go from like 200hp to 100 and stumble badly for about 1 or 2 seconds.

Using the hydrophobic sock caused it to be lethargic (maybe if washed a bunch it would wear off any coating causing the lack of airflow). So i was in a crappy position. Also if passing a rig in the rain, the water coming off their tires and spraying off the mudflaps wasnt great for the maf sensor issue i had before.

Maybe urd fixed it, as i had 2 with issues and my response from them was the classic "we have sold xxx of these and we have never heard of this problem"..... and that was it. Same with urd exhaust not fitting around stock spare tire, until gadget himself had an issue installing 1 and redesigned it to fit better (u wont find anything online about this tho)
    So if urd, good luck.

When dry out, or working properly, the urd intake is the best sounding intake i have ever ran on our trucks

So what I've come to gather so far is that URD is the best sounding, but there are a lot of problems related to the MAF. Not to mention, you have to cut some sheet metal out of your truck to accommodate it

TRD labeled Superchargers made by Magnuson. Magnuson now sells them direct for $1,000 less than TRD did.

Thats my experience sir..... i hate it, the urd sounds so awesome outside, but the damn water issue, maf not sealing, and zero customer support left me a little irritated... but i still vouch for it sounding badass.

Yes. URD sounds nice because there isn't a plastic box around the filter to vibrate. However the box is necessary to keep water out...
