So I am looking at buying a full kit for my truck and was wondering if the adjustable res is worth it?

Also, in what scenarios would it be useful to have?

Are you talking about the DSC adjuster? If so I think it's worthless I never experienced one for myself but to me I feel it's a fancy add on for off road shock which doesn't make sense. But to each their own, I also here some off roaders make fun of them.

That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to see if they actually are worth it. I don't see a reason why I would need to adjust compression THAT much, but wanted some opinions

I got a good deal on mine and went with them as the price difference was small. I am sure I could go without them as well but since I was already spending that much then why not.

I'm curious about this too. Also Fox dual speed adjusters.
Coming from the Moto world, hi/low shock speed adjustments seem the best on paper, as when racing my dirtbike I adjust the rebound, hi and low speed compression on my shock and forks going from track to track and even as the race track gets rougher throughout the day.

I have not run them, but from vendors I've talked to, they adjust firmer from what they are set to, and only by about 15%.

I personally would rather pull the shocks and have them revalved, which is what I'm going to do when I pull the trigger on some fox's.

You would stiffen them up when you go faster on rough terrain.

It really comes down to how the truck is going to be used!

If your truck is a daily driven truck with an occasional off road/trail ride, they come in handy by just turning the knob. You are not pushing your truck to the extreme like a Race truck where the valving needs to be precise.

If you have the time and patience to take your shocks off and have them custom valved, go that route. We do this with all of our race trucks.

If not, the compression adjusters are not that bad for the occasional terrain guy!

Just don't compare this with custom tuned shocks.
