Been looking through old posts about these two lifts for my 2012 5 lug. Seems that most people say more bang for your buck to go with FB. I would like pros and cons of each if y'all got any (or any advice). Basically what I'm trying to get after is a higher, more comfortable, meaner looking rise. Want to put some bigger tires on it as well. Which lift would you guys recommend? I want to keep it as close to factory as possible. The only real posts about this are from 2011 and 2013. Any updates? Have you had any problems with long road trips or stiffness? I don't do much off-roading so thats not a factor. I do drive long distances however. PLEASE. Any advice would help. If y'all have any pics that would be great, thanks.

It's a steel spacer, there isn't a difference. 30x9.5 will look decent and still be close to stock. 15x7 0 offset. There aren't any other options at the moment.

Even on stock rims you can run 235x75 with no suspension work and no rubbing. And right on the edge in terms of power loss.

You will get a 1" 'lift' because the tires are 2" in dia larger than OE. And they do fill out the wheel wheels better.

I didn't want an aggressive tire. I don't need it functionally, it weighs more and often costs more. And I wanted a great road tire. So i shopped Michelin and Bridgestone. Nice ride, great wet road traction, work well in the sand where I haul my yaks.

And my suspension is still stock.

Readylift SST Lift/Level kit, with Bilstein 4600 (front) and 5100 (rear). Rims are 16x7", aftermarket, originally intended for use on the Jeep light SUV products (Liberty, Patriot) with similar offset/back-spacing figures to the OEM steel Toyota rims. I currently run 225/75R16 tires.

Whichever is cheaper, I paid $55 for mine on eBay. I'd go for 30x9.5 at the smallest, any smaller and it might as well be stock

I did the ready lift one on my 08 5lug haven't had any issue but it's not really a easy bolt up some small alterations had to be done, the bolt holes had to be widen for the brackets for the new u bolts in the rear and u do have to collapse your spring and rotate your shock and shorten (cut down) the studs to install there spacers in the front. It took me and a buddy about 6 hours to do it all

Fat Bobs 2.75 lift and level with short AAL, 16x8 Level 8 Guardian Wheels, 245/75R16 Toyo Open Country ATII, custom trans shift kit(home made), Trans temp. and Vac gauge, URD fuel pump upgrade(going back to stock soon).
I have an older Fat Bob's lift with the aluminum puck spacer and short AAL. I run the Prerunner rear shocks as they have the correct length and valving. The front struts are KYB and are currently smoked. Have no issues with the kit. One suggestion is use better U-bolts. The supplied U-bolts that came with the kit were plain steel and didn't hold torque after 5k miles. I replaced them with a larger (thicker) U-bolt from the auto parts sold in the help isle no problem since.

A small tip. The center bolt in the leaf pack is a bear to reinstall. I recommend using a good helping of anti-sieze.

31's are great for me but they rub at full turn on the swaybar.

No rub on 245/75R16 on my 5 lug. My wheels are level 8 I believe they are +18 offset.
