When you are out and you need to put down your top. Where do you store your windows? In the cab behind the seat?

I am looking to buy one but worry about storing the windows if for say I pick up a load of dirt and have to close the top.

How water tight are they? Do they leak a lot?

When I had mine on I would throw the windows in the back seat if I needed to fold it up or wanted them off for some reason. I did find that usually I would just pull the whole thing off if I knew that I was going to be needing it out of the way, they are so light its easy to take the 10 mins to pull it off.

They are decently water tight from rain as long as you install it right and have weatherstripping down. HEAVY rain or powerwashers will get through however.

    Hope that helps.

I should note that I meant heavy rain w the typical wind etc that comes with it, or 80 mph down the highway can get some in. Corners of the top are key points for sealing.

I wondering if the windows can be stored say behind the seat. I can't find any dimensions of the removable fabric part so can can check myself. Would be nice to store them out of the way rear passengers.

Insulate like for sleeping in? Not any more than a basic tent would.

I loved mine. The corners leaked under heavy rain but I could have easily fixed it with a little gasket. I slept in it often, worked well. Got hot in the summer though so had to leave the tailgate down and deal with bugs.

As for storage, I would take the sides and rear "windows" off, take out the cross bar that ran across the top of the tailgate and then rolled the cross bar in the windows and then threw the whole thing behind the back seat.

I use to keep them out more than in during the summer so the dogs got air and could breath when traveling to our destination.

That is awesome to hear you rolled them and stored them behind the back seats. I am guessing you had a Double Cab? What made you get rid of the Bestop? How long did you own it?

You almost made my decision to get a Bestop over a Softopper!!

I had a regular cab and I sold it because I sold the truck and went to a full size Ford.

It could get a little cozy in a double cab to roll them up and get them behind the seat with the OE organizer back there. If you are running one of the molle panels or something I could see that working. you cant roll them up the opposite direction due to the "j hook" style plastic pieces that hook the windows / rear door into the soft top. Just FYI , I have no idea of the reg cab has that same deal behind the seat, so maybe the spacing is the same and I am missing it.

I have a Double cab short bed with the OEM storage in the back so I'm guessing it will be alittle cozy back there then if they can go back there. May decide to remove that storage then. I'm guessing your long bed windows fit in the cab rolled up? Thank you for the input.
