Ok guys this is my first write up and review here on tacomaworld but here we go!

To start off I have a 2017 TRD OR and yes i have confirmed that this vehicle specific kit does fit in our 3rd gens

The lights are PIAA LP530 LED fog-lights and the link to the actual vehicle specific kit (VSK as PIAA calls it) is below

i also ordered these adapters for the H11 socket so i didnt have to splice into the factory harness and the lights would be a simple plug and play.

    1) First step was to take the adapter i got from Amazon and chop off the H9 end and wire them up to the new fogs

    2) unbolt the wheel well starting with the 2 10mm bolts under the front bumper then the 1 plastic clip and 1 10mm bolt in the wheel well. I also took my front grill off because on the 2016+ tacomas there is a little orange clip on the inside of the wheel well that you have to unclip to pull back the wheel well and really be able to get in there to crate the new holes for the bracket

    3) after you get the wheel well out of the way and get in there to pull out the factory fogs make a little indention or mark where the factory fog-lights fit in. This helps a lot when putting in the PIAA replacement bracket because the hole are all the same spacing and you have to make your on holes to mount the brackets.

the picture bellow describes what i am talking about

    4) after you have new holes for the bracket made and tighten up the bracket and make sure your lights are straight and flush on the exterior bumper. you just have to mess with it a little bit to get them just right. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN the screws, the plastic on the bumper is pretty soft and thats why the kit comes with the springs for the opposite side so you can adjust the lights and get the to sit almost flush

one more thing to add is when you mount the bracket on the lights push the bracket as far forward as it can go, this will help fill the gap to make the lights sit more flush

    5) Check fitment align the lights, and zip tie up the wires so you dont have anything hanging. i zip tied mine right to the front mount right where the front air splitter on the inside of the grill goes into place.

    REVIEW

Overall impression: the specs say the fogs are 6000k on the color spectrum and have a 70 degree spreed. id say this is pretty accurate the quality of the light is obviously night and day difference over the factory fogs

This is before i aligned them but a picture of the led vs factory halogen.

    and after

both PIAA fogs installed and the factory low beam on the right and DDM Tuning 35w 4500k HID on the left

I am very impressed with the fogs, not only is the light output much better and clearer but the fogs seem very well made, after all they are PIAAs and this is a great improvement over stock.

Now i know the lights are a little pricey for what they are but i will say they are just as reliable as factory lights and they SAE approved so you wont be blinding anyone or breaking any laws!

Other then that the install is pretty straight forward just make sure and shrink wrap and seal the wiring when you make it so everything is water tight and take your time installing the brackets so the light are straight.

If you have any questions or need more pics let me know or PM @automatcentral

    Thanks everyone!
