I've ran several kits without the harness with no issues. From what I've read the harness is better for older cars with crap wires.

Why have you run several kits in your Tacoma?

Where are you guys mounting the ballast?

I'm in the middle of my install and trying to figure out a good spot to put them

This doesn't harm the ground at all?

No, ballasts being grounded is generally a good thing.

That's because you're not supposed to run HIDs for high beams. The way luxury cars use HID high beams, like in my old car, is that they use bi-xenon headlamps which have a solenoid that retracts a shield to allow high and low beam light output with 1 bulb so there is no warm up time unless you're immediately using high beams from when you turn on your car.

If anything, retrofitting onto a non bi-xenon headlamp, you should run either halogen or LED for high beams.

Thanks again. Most likely I'll be purchasing the hylux with a regular ballast soon. I was looking into the OPT7 35W AC kits but they only have the 5500k bulb, and I'd like the 4300k.

    They came out perfect

    No canbus and no harness

I might add one later when I put a full circuit panel in for all my accessories

Any questions let me know the lights are the h11b there is no line in the light projection and I went with 4500k the lights below are 6000k piaa lp530 led fogs

Love the ddm! Got them for 52$ on Amazon worth every penny

Just to confirm I got the ddm tuning plus kit
