Whatever I supplant them with I'd never use anywhere near traffic. Just looking for some good driving lights on those dark and deserted roads, canyons, etc.

Yeah I could see these as a nice camp light off the back of the truck or something to that effect.

I have Viking Brett's light bar still... but it's too big for my bumper. Was thinking about getting some real driving lights and a smaller light bar for the front.

Then use these Blitzpros for camping lights like your pic above.

Did the flux capacitor kick in?

More of a spot light that is a metric shit ton brighter than my headlights.

As for the bar I'd probably mount it on top of the bumper assuming the driving lights will go where this Blitzpros are now in the lower valence.

You could put this in your lower valence area.

Got my sliders welded on Friday

    IMG_6214.jpg

Then proceeded to paint them today in preparation for the week of rain approaching SoCal. Was a race against daylight after I got off work, but every thing turned out great!

    Degreasin and wirewheelin

    IMG_6220.jpg
2 lightish coats of self etching primer. Yes, I did paint the end bit

    IMG_6222.jpg
Finished with several coats of Rustoleum Bed Liner

    IMG_6223.jpg
Finished product, albeit a little wet still

Got my winch and drove my truck today. My battery started it after letting it sit a month in freezing and well below at times.

Are you magic? I painted my sliders on the truck too and masked everything off to do it and got plenty on the masking. You have even bigger stakes cause your paint is white and not scratched to shit. Looks good!

I had two large sheets of cardboard (around 2'x4') and just wedged them between the pinch weld and slider legs and laid them flat on top of the slider. Then painted the bottom, let it dry for like 15min then just bent them up and sprayed the tops. Carefully shimmied them free the repeated on the other side. I did get about a nickle sized dusting of bed liner on the very bottom of my drivers side rocker, but a little polishing compound took it right off. Start to finish it took about 1.5 - 2 hours.

If I didn't have like 90min of sunlight left I would have taken the time to tape and mask off everything, but this is one of the VERY few times where rushing a job actually turned out fantastic. :bananadance:

I think that would be a crime. Georgians can't handle snow, there would be mass casualties. I felt bad cause I'm in a hurry to get to school so I couldn't stop and pull people out this morning.

No they can not, they are idiots when it comes to snow. With the little ice we had this past weekend I sat back and watched people spin and spin and spin. Quite humorous if you ask me

I feel like it is just an inconvienence for me. But for most of the people I live around (college students with go fast cars) it is like the apocalypse. The funny part is every Subaru driver gets balls of steel when it snows. Then they get high centered or turn too fast and then I'm the one yanking them out. For every 5 cars in the ditch 2 are Subies. But it's all good experience for a real trail recovery
