Towing problem

1. Here is the deelima. I am moving from ny to tn towing in a u haul trailer my 07 vstar 1300 and I need to stop in va to pick up my quad 02 4x4 arctic cat 375 and need to figure out a way to make it work its been years since I've had the quad in the truck bed and I don't think I can do it with the gate up. Anyone with experience in trailer and gate down towing or at gate up experience would be appreciated. Specs on quad 81" long wheel base is 50" ( I know the definition of wheel base) thanks for the help pics also a GREAT help. If the quad fits in the bed with gate up no issues if it doesn't that's where the problem arises

 

Remove the gate. Put the gate in the trailer.

Also, depending on the trailer tongue configuration and ball mount height, it may be perfectly reasonable to tow the trailer with the tailgate down. You only need the gate up if there is going to be interference.
