    Hello Everyone,

I have a 2017 Limited with JBL package.

I tried searching the forums, and most of the threads came up about audio/music issues. I don't really listen to music from my phone much.

Since the last 2 IOS updates, while on a call in my truck, it would just drop, and my phone would hang up as well. Sometimes it reconnects, sometimes it doesn't at all. Didn't happen when I first got the truck, and only noticed it after the IOS update came out for my IPhone 6 plus.

    • I've factory reset my phone.
    • Disconnect/forget device and reconnect.
    • Toyota says its the phone.
    • I don't have any non-IOS phones to test.

    Any ideas?

    "Disconnect/forget device and reconnect."

did you do that on your phone? also do that equivalent on your Entune head unit. Also, don't have any other phone pre-paired with your head unit. try that.

Thanks for the quick response. Did the disconnect and forget as well. And never ever had a 2nd phone.

I'll try it again in that specific order to see what happens though!

All I can say is I have an OR with JBL, no issues at all with Bluetooth connection on my iPhone 7 with latest updates. Rock solid, the only time it drops is when I go through a known coverage black hole. My iPhone 6 was solid as well.

Only other thought would be to do a factory reset, but don't restore from a backup and see if the problem remains.

    Thank you for the response.

I just did the disconnect, forget, and push and hold power down to reset and tried a 15min call on the highway. Seemed to work so far. Hopefully that fixed it. I got the reset idea from a youtube video with a technician on a corolla/entune setup.

    hopefully this work!

When you say "factory reset" what do you mean?

Factory reset on my iPhone and set it up like it was a brand new phone.

Okay, so a "restore as new phone" -- I was wondering if you instead meant the much lesser hard-reboot so I figured I'd ask. :)

If that doesn't do it, I don't know what will.

Entune sucks for reliability with Pandora, but bluetooth phone and music functionality has been completely rock solid.
