Whats with the new trend of buying a 3rd gen Tacoma in OC?! I see a bunch of newbies driving around now. It use to be 1 out of 50 cars would see a Taco, now its 5 out of 20. I got a Tacoma 13 years ago because I didnt wanna follow the trend of a ford or chevy, now I rarely see new chevys/gmc/dodge ect on the road as much. Noticed all the noodles in Westminster are filled with Tacos now...hope this doesnt become some kinda of lame hipser trend, I use to feel special being only so many that had a Taco on the road. Mourning Rant

I'm seeing a lot more too. There have always been a ton of second gens around here. I'm guessing they are trading up.

I was driving down Beach Blvd towards the 22 coming frm HB last night and I ran into 4 3rd gens 2 being the same Magnetic Gray as mine. On my way to work this mourning seen another 2 3rd gens at the crosswalk. Even if you start modding your truck, dudes are all basically doing the same mods as each other now..nothing feels original anymore

It's been a trend since 2005. Back in the CustomTacos.com days, it used to be that every fixed up taco was easy to trace back to a member as it wasn't common. Once the new versions came out you started seeing more pop up. It used to be you could wave and get acknowledged back. Now often times its just a blank stare back. Haha

Bader Meinhof phenomenon, I've noticed it with every car I've ever owned.

    I can afford Gas.
Toyota makes trucks that go 850,000 miles. Some of those trucks gotta get all used up, first.

Really? You're concerned about the best selling midsized truck (for quite a long time) becoming a trend? I'm sorry you are mourning.
