My buddy put this review up. He points out why front runner racks do not go all the way up to the windshield. I thought was interesting compared to the Prinsu Design racks.

I didn't see anywhere that he pointed out "why" it didn't go to front only that it did not and left some clearance for half of the sunroof. Also unless he was part of the front runner design team my guess is any "why" he would have provided would just be his opinion. Personally since I have a Tacoma and no sunroof give me all the real estate I can have up there.

My mistake. In his first cut of the video he did go into that. I didn't proof watch it again since this post. And the reason why was actually info directly from front runner since we asked them. Basically they didn't want a design where you were forced to drill into your truck. So it had to be shorter. That is all. I'll see if he plans on posting to original video he made.

Prinsu is no drill on second gen, mounts into factory holes that are there for factory rack.
