Anyone happen to know if the 16x8 will fit a 1st gen Tacoma with the tundra brake swap?
(Specifically 2002 with the 13WL calipers)

    Never.

The copper finish is a limited edition finish. Was also not offered in 16s this last round.

You can get on the waiting list...but I just learned it's about 300 names long..

20 lucky members on here and other forums will get first dibs for signing up.

Id be amazed if vin did another run as traditionally he only does two runs of limited finishes. But miracles do happen..that said, he won't offer them in 16s no matter what(sadly).

Really liking how the SCS Ray10's turned out. Vin, you're magician. For all inquiring minds, all mods are listed on my profile page. I had alignment tweaked, no rubbing whatsoever without trimming. Loving the tall and skinny M/T's, thanks for the inspiration @LadyRed. MPG's will likely suffer a bit, it's a truck, don't care. No plans for a re-gear as of yet, the MT seems to handle the tires just fine. Next up, getting rid of the OEM mud flaps which I will likely replace with Plasticolor ones. Lots of rain/slush and other road crap here on the West Coast, like to keep the sides of the truck pock free and windshields behind me in one piece. Slowly building her up.

    Ahh hell those look sick!
What'd they run you all totaled up with shipping, exchange etc. up to Edmonton?
They actually look real good on stock rubber!

Thanks! I am still questioning the decision to use stock tires on these wheels but I'll wait until they are on the truck and decide then. The factory wheels haven't been an issue for me on where I drive currently so have to balance needs and wants against the wallet.

The total cost of the set came in at $1660CAD. The CAD-USD exchange rate is less than ideal and always moving, but here was the breakdown:
    - SCS cost of $995USD (set of four including lugs and shipping)
    - Duty/customs at $225CAD

I was expecting more for customs charges and certainly won't complain about it only being $50CAD per wheel. In the end the cost worked out to $415CAD per wheel. A shop in Calgary sells SCS wheels and they quoted me $325-$350CAD per on a common finish of Stealth 6's, so the cost is in line, especially when you account for this finish not being commonly stocked.

    Thanks for the info.
    That's really pricey.
I was hoping for under 1500.00
Tough part is convincing the better half.

Definitely want a unique set, and willing to pay.
Buddy in town has a set of bronze 6's only 2 blocks from home on stock rubber and it looks real good. Definitely a street look.

See what a tire shop will give you? My tire guy took my oem for $500!

It was an investment, and unfortunately us Canadian's have to pay for nice things. I love the look of the Ray10's with an all terrain tread but will see how I feel about it when they are on the truck. The stock tires will have low mileage so if I do swap out tires then selling them (to the tire shop or locally) hopefully doesn't take much effort.

You might want to talk to the Gear Shop in Calgary, I bought mine through them, they showed up today. Their price was under 1500$. Things might have changed but you never know. Talk to Christian. @SCSPerformance The Ray 10s look awesome.

Yeah its nice not having to deal with the brokerage fees and stuff, I saw the sheet from UPS and they wanted around 250 for some fees BS.
I would definitely email or call them. Hard to say what our dollar is going to do, I was loving it when we were on par
The wheels look so much more impressive in person, make my stock wheels look white bread.

Still pricey as hell, especially while I'm figuring out some ICON suspension..
    Yes, VERY white bread..

Gear Shop, that's the store I was thinking of! I spoke with Christian back in December when I was asking about the costs of the regular finish SCS wheels. If you went with a standard finish then $325-$350CAD per wheel is what you would expect. Add in shipping (I believe it was $70CAD to Edmonton) then you'll be in for less than $1500CAD.

Don't listen to Traegermaster or I though, we'll say cost be damned and that the wheels are worth it. :)

These wheels are really nice, and where I live its all Fuel or similar brands, no SCS that I have come across.
once you spend more than a grand for rims you might as well get the ones you want.

Thank you, and that's just it, couple bucks more and you get exactly what you want.

I'm very specific on what I want. Waiting and watching.. :anonymous:
    Only doing it once.

Come on 17" copper SR8s...
