That kind of defeats the purpose of an HC bumper unless you're only getting one for the mall.

Well the plate bumper is for the added protection and to replace the already damaged stock bumper as mentioned. The side protection would take place of the damaged area on the side of the bed for cosmetics, as also mentioned. Never claimed I was "crawling not hauling." I'll be sure to take pictures of my truck at the mall though, just to clear the confusion.

Yea, been looking at Mobtown and SOS recently from recommendations. Going to weigh options in the coming months.

I'm sorry I'm not a hard core crawler. Maybe some day. For now I'll just make sure when I park I have at least one tire on the curb for flex purposes. Might just leave the damage to the bed and slap a rubicon or moab sticker on it to insight dominance to the other vehicles at the mall.

Well if any of you guys make it down to Texas, have a plate bumper for a 1st gen. That will take force of hitting a horse. Just finished fixing the bullnose. Fixing to touch up the bedliner on it and will be ready to go.

IMG_0683.jpg Driver side of my bumper went under the trailer of a semi a few months back. My Arb jacked up the fairing on the trailer. I just backed up but my truck was higher in the front without the brakes slammed on, so it kind of took stuff off the trailer when I backed up.
