    Hi from Mesa, AZ
I've followed this site for years. I have a 2005 Tacoma TRD Prerunner Sport Double Cab. Has 164k miles, had it since new. Doing major maintenance to it now in order to ward off any off the side of the road problems. Its been a very good truck no issues other than brakes, batteries, oil changes and normal maintenance. Just did water pump, all hoses, fan clutch, plugs, clean throttle body, alternator, starter. Doing control arm bushings and ball joints next.

My cruise control was intermittent and finally quit, so I did the clockspring. Now I have a problem with the air bag light on. I didn't fully seat the connector into the clockspring, went back in and seated it. Now the air bag light is still on. Bought my clockspring from ebay. I gotta hit that thread to see if the ECU needs to be reset...all was going so well too.... :-(

Much appreciated guys. I sure like my Prerunner Sport. Its been such a good truck. I recently had it repainted because our AZ Sun burned off the clear coat over the Indigo Blue paint. I decided to replace a lot of parts before they went out. Just replaced the blower resistor assembly and connector. Have a new blower motor on the way too...

There was a recall on the airbag spiral cable for my truck - maybe for yours?

There was a recall on the 05 also, we had ours changed after the light came on.

Yup, and there was an extension to the warranty BUT the truck could not have over 150K miles or be over 10 years old. I posted the info on the Clockspring replacement thread.
Unfortuately my truck is an '05 with 164k miles. They said they sent out notices but I never recall getting one. Oh well. Minor for a truck that has given me great service so far. I am religious about oil changes too.
