Least you got "something" out of it haha. stuck on the side of the road? 4lo and MTS in the mud& sand mode work great in the snow! the back parking lot at work had about 1.5ft of snow and Lil Red motored right on though it all. I was very happy with it. Most of the time i'm more of a 4hi and punch it kinda guy haha. definitely doesnt get you too far tho haha.

Yep side of the ride. They plowed it to wide and when I pulled over wound up in the ditch. Tried 4lo, crawl, chains, and a couple people tried to pull me out made it worse. Didn't call through Toyota care but going to see if they do some type of reimbursement. Not sure how any of that works

For those with nerf bar or running board questions I may have some answers. When I bought my 3rd gen, well actually just before I bought it, I called a few local Toyota dealers and got part numbers for a 2014 and a 2016 Tacoma. Same exact part numbers. I bought my truck 400 miles away and was picking it up on a Saturday. They could not get nerf bars in time to install them. I planned on ordering a set from realtruck.com and they were listed for a 2nd gen taco. I called them before ordering and they assured me they would fit a 3rd gen. Bolted right up with no problem. For my 3rd gen access cab the 2nd gen 5" stainless tubes are identical to the Toyota 3rd gen that were $250 more expensive for the Toyota ones.

You can probably find the dimensions on real truck where I bought it. It was quite a bit larger than I thought it would be. I fit full travel tool set in it with plenty of room to spare! I got another one to put all my recovery gear in.

It's well worth a try! i'd just call HQ and open up a claim with your truck. Negative feed back with HQ really makes the dealers look bad. they tend to get there shit together after HQ gets after them.

Ditto on that. Dealer was much less than accommodating to my needs of warranty repairs. Opened a case. Then dealer was overwhelmingly accommodating. Fixed 1 issue before I called Corporate. Fixed the other 4 issues after I called Corporate. It helped creating and posting videos of my issues on youtube and forwarding to the dealer and Corporate.

The fire gets lit after HQ gets a case opened. After my dealer told me to give them a chance before i go and contact HQ about issues i have.. to me it sounds like they don't like being talked to by HQ. that seems to be the way to get things done.

Well let me tell you. I have been working on cars close to 45 years. Took auto tech for 3 years in high school, went to auto tech school and worked at a Ford dealer twice before changing careers. When I took my truck in at 4900 miles with legitimate issues they brought out the head tech. Within 3 minutes he told me at least twice that he was a Toyota expert and that my claims were new to him and basically impossible. I felt like he was talking to a little 6 year old kid. I told him and the service writer that apparently they didn't know crap about the new Tacoma. I immediately informed them I would contact Corporate. All I got was a dumb look. I expected some response and got none. I immediately produced video proof of my issues along with copies of TW posts of others with the same issues. I even provided vins with dates and dealer names that had repaired the identical issues. Sent all this to the dealer. Nothing. Then I sent the same stuff to Corporate. The next week the dealers service manager turned into my best friend. I did blame some of their ignorance on Corporate for not providing dealers with known issues. I am happy now. Get along fine with the same service writer-a 25 year old kid with no wrench experience-and my last visit was pleasant. All is fine as long as I don't have to speak to the idiot EXPERT. He should be embarrassed to ever show his face around me again.

Has anyone used the rear locker yet? The one time I tryed I did it as instructed I'm the hand book .after pushing the locker button the light blinked once than went away. The book states that it'll blink once or twice than stay illuminated. Mine did not. And to top it off ,when I went to the dealership they didn't have anything information for me. I also demanded to speak with the lead tech and still didn't k ow shit about my truxk and it's features. Imagine that?

The person at HQ that I talked to contacted my dealer and I assumed bitched them out. And said if the dealer fails to help me with my issues to give her a call back and she'll take care of it. So some kind of magic was worked ha.

No pics, but installed the screen protector on the touchscreen, and the console tray from Salex. Didn't get the divider, weird they wouldn't ship together.
