Leaf spring packs in Canada. Where to buy?

Got the 4 leaf recall pack a few months ago but not entirely happy with it.

Where does everyone order leafs springs from in Canada? I'm looking for either/something like Wheelers HD 5 leaf pack or General Spring HD pack. With current conversion and shipping rates it gets pricey quickly. Looking for something heavier duty than OEM pack, but with not much extra lift, ie. 0.5-1" would be about perfect. So no Dakars for me etc.

Alternatively considering Supersprings or Hellwig helper springs...

Tortun4) before I added Dakars, if you're looking to greatly improve function, they may be a good way to go. If you're adding lift of any sort though, contact them to inquire about spacers for them, or longer units designed for a different application.

Where in Canada are you? I got a great price at some outfit in Surrey that I don't remember the name of, and Big Country Customs isn't horrible for prices on other stuff.

 

Thanks, I will check their website. I'm in Edmonton. I did look into the Timbren SES, and while they should solve the load support issue, I was hoping to get something that will get me just a tad of rear lift at the same time.

Looked into air bags, but don't think I want to deal with those. 3 leaf aal's without overload may not support extra weight that well, single aal maybe a bit better, but not for long apparently and also both options usually come only in 1.5 - 2" of lift.

That leaves new HD leafs, or helper springs. Since I just got mediocre, but new recall leafs for free, helper springs may also be an option for a lot less $. I'm planning to finish the upgrade with 5100's all around, front set @ 0 with OME 883s.

 

Contact Standens in Calgary. I have a Standens four leaf plus overload set and they blow the stockers out of the water. I did a landfill run a few weeks ago, the scale read over 300kg, and there was essentially no sag. They have the option to add extra leaves if you require more load capacity, and will arch the leaves to your desired ride height. If I recall, prices start at $250 per side, plus labour if required.

Did you get the springs sorted out?

 

No yet, I had some other expenses that took priority. Also got new shocks installed all around and that alone fixed some of the ride quality complaints I had I thought were related to the springs. I will see how it sits and drives once the trailer is hooked up in spring and go from there. Lost between 1/4 to 1/2" of lift with recall spring compared to 10 year old original 4 pack so I'm assuming towing and hauling this summer will be affected as well. May leave it like it is or get a 'cheap fix' such as Helwig helper kit to 'beef them up' a bit. Almost decided to get Sumo's, but now not so sure about that option either. Don't think I have budget for a new leaf pack. Not sure yet what will end up happening to be honest.

 

X2 on Standen's - I had them build a couple of sets for my BJ60. Relatively inexpensive, good quality, and great to deal with - at least the Calgary shop is, can't speak to the Edmonton location.
