Dang it, just put dakars on two days ago! Would have waited for the springs with the inserts at the end. Oh well, mine still ride great and have been silent for 250 miles...

So I installed the add a leaf and removed the upper overload, plus some 3 degree shims and a u-bolt flip kit from toytec. The flip kit's 2.5" bump stops seem a little short, even with OME shock's 14" collapsed length. I'll report back after flexing and measuring everything.

Hub to fender measurements are 25.25" on both sides, with 250 lbs of topper and gear.

Hey, Caleb, can you do me a favor? Could you open one of those bushing packets and pop a bushing into the front eye and tell me how it fits? I'm hoping the answer is very snug, and I just want to verify.

I have a new set of Dakars I just got several weeks ago that I've been prepping for install. I was debating just pressing the front rubber bushings out now and replacing them with polyurethane from day 1. Then I saw your post. I never knew SB108 bushing would fit the front. They were always specified for rear.

If they fit like they were made for it, I'll just buy another pair for the fronts.

    Thanks in advance :D

I know that you can easily get 25" hub to fender with the full Dakar pack and 3 degree shims. Another leaf may get you there but you may have some serious rake and potential driveline vibe issues to solve (maybe and maybe not)? You can raise your front more to deal with the rake but then you run into CV joint angle problems. I don't know anyone who has added another leaf to the full 7 leaf Dakars. If not towing, most take a leaf out. You should also check out Devers if your seriously looking at the rear suspension.

Interesting I am measuring 25.5 with AAL and I am wondering if I should bring the front up or drop the AAL to grab another 1/4 somewhere as I am on the fence of bringing my front up to 24.5"

Edit.. Only been on for 200 Miles so they might settle 1/4

Are you at 25.5 with the AAL and all of the overloads in place?
