I just bought a Kenwood DDX812 - it's exactly like the DNX8120 less the NAV. I'm trying to install it, the PAC Steering Wheel Interface adapter, and the JBL Amp adapter.

I was wondering if I need to install all the speaker wire lines AND the pre-outs. I noticed that the Scosche JBL adapter only has pre-out inputs for the front (+/-) and rear (+/-), but no inputs for the sub.The Kenwood deck has all three pre-outs.

When I bought the deck used, the factrory harness adapter was already used, so it's hard to tell what's been used. I plan to use my stock JBL speaker system and sub. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks y'all!

I just used the Metra adapter (TYTO-01) over the weekend, and only used the pre outs (only front and rear, there is no seperate for sub), amp turn on wire, switched power, constant power, and ground. Also installed the Access (PAC) steering wheel controls.

    +1 Yep just preouts....
The small plug (with only three wires if i remember right) is for the steering wheel interface...
