    Hello,

    Yesterday I took delivery of a new silver 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB. I've long said that it's better to have a friend with a truck than to own one myself, but with the nearest Home Depot about 90 miles away, it's a bit much to ask someone to haul stuff for a case of beer.

    We're a long-time Toyota family and luckily, the Tacoma has no real competition so the decision was a no-brainer. We had planned to wait until summer, but since our Prius caught fire and burned out the garage, we needed a new vehicle right away.

    This site was quite helpful during the shopping and deal-making phases, so I'm glad to be here. Hopefully I can help pay it forward.

    It's still under investigation, but the preliminary cause is the block heater, either a defect in or damage to the cable in the engine bay going from the heater plug to the extension cord.
