I'm driving home from a fishing trip today. I pull up to a stop light, come to a complete stop, then lift my foot off the brake just to roll forward a few feet, I put my foot back down on the brake and hold it, almost immediately I feel a fairly strong Buzzing on the brake pedal that lasts for maybe 1.5 to 2 seconds and stops. Every time I let the truck roll forward and depress the brake pedal to stop, I feel it again. It is almost identical to if you have your Cell Phone on vibrate.

This was on flat level ground.

Something in the braking system I've never noticed before today. 7k miles on truck. Anyone else notice this? I'm guessing and hoping it is something normal. Haven't RTFM yet...

We haven't had measurable rain in AZ for over 3 months and despite the fact I was fishing, the truck was never exposed to any wet roadways or within 200 yards of the water

There's a rubber boot on the brake pedal rod under the dash. Mine rubs/burps/grunts. Imagine a rubber boot rubbing on a metal rod. Brrrrrt. Everytime. It'll do it whether I'm moving or not. Only fix I know is to lube it. But it'll come back eventually.
If it's not that, then maybe the pads grunting on the rotors. On some cars you can creep with the brakes barely on and create a continuous brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr feeling and sound. Again, only happens when moving. Changing pads or rotors can alleviate it.

Sure. May be. I don't mean to discount your experience. Just offering some solutions I've seen.
Check if it happens in P. Or if in D only. And if moving only. Start the narrowing process.

My OR does something similar, not quite a buzz but a few rapid soft clicks in the pedal. I believe it's the electric brake booster kicking in, and to kinda prove it to myself I tried hitting the brakes a couple of times in the driveway with the engine off/key in run position. Pump came on for 1-2 seconds every time I hit the brakes, and I could feel it in the pedal.

Weird thing is, your truck "developed" this symptom.. whereas mine has done it since day one.

Maybe I just started noticing it. It seems fairly pronounced however.

Yep, mine does the same. I can recreate it consistently too by putting the parking brake on, neutral and just press the brake, release, press brake firmly and hold "bzzzzz" for maybe a second or so.

I'm thinking this truck just likes to vibrate and buzz any way that it can.

So just got my truck back after I felt the exact same vibration. 7k miles on my TRD off road as well. They said it was normal - took a 2017 off road for a test drive & felt the same thing, albeit less pronounced.

So am I going to have to deal with this? Any solutions ya'll came up with?

Plastidipped the front grill, and that's all I've had time for.
This just started happening to me as well. I just ticked over 7000 miles on a big road trip and it just started happening... like, a lot! It definitely did not do this before, and it's super annoying. Mine is a 2017 TRD OR manual, but i can replicate it when I'm standing still in neutral or while I'm moving. I'll be contacting the dealer soon.

Let us know if they come up with anything - I got no solution from my dealer. It would honestly drive me to trade in for a different vehicle...

Happens in my 17 TRD OR as well. Since it's always happened, I figure it's normal and has something to do with the ABS modulator

Well it went away before I could get it to a dealer. Maybe it's part of the break in procedure or something, but it was super strong there for a couple weeks.

Funny, i've had this happen a few times in my 16 OR long bed. One time I was backing up in reverse, didn't come to a complete stop and put it in drive and it did a weird buzzing. Not only did I feel it but it was sort of loud. And then once when I tried out the 4x4. The peddle vibrated and made the same noise, like it was shorting out or something for a couple seconds.

Your truck knows you don't like it

So it is self creating problems so that you will lemon it and both you and truck can merrily part ways
