Djtonyt this is the best video showing the pros/cons and comparison between halogen, hid, and leds. The verdict was HIDs but watch the full video for yourself :)

its already an LED and would be hard to get to... I tried, it would involve cracking the weather stripping around the third brake, sanding, and then reapplying a sealant after changing the bulb. Certainly possible but not worth benefit to me, cargo LED lights are way easier to install and more effective at lighting up the bed if thats what youre getting at

From an aftermarket LED? The answer from almost 100% of users, given a bit of time & weather, will be 'yes'.

The housing is not designed for am LED bulb. The only time I successfully swapped LEDS into a license plate area with success was when I found a company that sold the housing w/LED as a whole. And from my past experience this was only available to Audi/VW/BMW. It was pricey but amazing in quality and looks ($40 or $60 for a set, don't recall).

I briefly looked for a similar product for Tacoma and quickly concluded it doesn't exist.

I just received the same kit but went with the 35w Ballast. Do I need to run the relay leads to the battery? I think I read somewhere that was optional?

    Hi, newbie here,
Just went from a 2015 Tacoma 4x4 V6 Sport to Access Cab to a 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road V6 Truck Double Cab and now have the wireless charger with a little white dome light above it.

My question, can this be changed to LED like the others?

The camera is fine during the day, but tons of haloed light in the picture at night. I think my leds are too bright.

    Two questions:
What is the rating on the dome and map lights. I want bright bright almost blue...6000k or so rating?
Do you have the dome light for the 2107 size figured out yet and is it available?

Just picked up my 2017 Tacoma today looking to replace reverse lights to LED. Anyone have any updates on lights they liked or didn't like? Are the 2016 bulbs the same fit?

Has anyone been able to install the Morimoto LED 2 stroke on the low beam? (I'm having figment issues) the fan of the LED seems to get in the way and so I'm left with taking out my headlight to install it, which I do not want to do.

You don't have to take out the head lights. Just remove the top two headlight retaining bolts and pull the headlight assembly forward. You'll then have just enough clearance to wiggle the bulb in. It's not that hard at all.
