It's the Goolsky SYMA X5SW, id link it over here but not too sure how to do that lol but yeah for a beginner, I don't it's too bad, plus the price is not bad either. But like I said, Hopefully you can have someone with more experience chime in to maybe point you in the direction of a better one.

Since I've gotten the hang of it already I'm to the point where I'm really tempted to just go all out and get the dji mavic pro, but that $1K I could and should put towards my truck or other things more important lol

    Inductrix.

Reasoning - it uses (fairly standard) spektrum gear, and has a pretty thriving mod community. There's also the FPV model. Indoors means you can fly every day, and helps those close in skills.

Once you get those skills, then move to a mavik or whatever.

I ended up just buying the Syma X8G. I probably will look in to a smaller, indoors one as well so I can drive my girlfriend crazy with it

Here's a shitty video I made a few weeks back my first time out with the drone with a couple of other TW members.

There's no gimble for the camera and it's very rocky, motion sickness prone people don't watch.

Yeah man. That's a hell of a deal considering how much he probably has tied up in it. Great craft also. The only reason I sold mine is I just didn't fly it as much as I used too since I got into photo / video editing and have so much tied up in that. Bought a 3 axis gimbal for my DSLR that goes on top of my slider and I've got almost $2500 just in that alone.

This is a ungraded test shot with the gimbal when I got it. Just set it up on my driveway and about 450 24MP stills later created a 30 sec 8K video downgraded to 4k.

I just got in to drone flying and aerial videography so I can't quite justify spending that much yet. I picked up a syma x8g for 100 so that'll keep me satisfied at least for a bit

Still working on the collection. Currently working on a few micro long range birds. Long term goal is to hit two miles range flying under 100grams.

I'm a member of the official DJI forums and that's where I sold mine. I got a few hits here but there aren't too many on here it seems that are in the market for a high end craft like the Inspire. Sold it for my asking price within a couple of days.

I sold mine when the Mavic was damn near impossible to get your hands on so that might have helped me out.

That's the thing also. The X3 camera (although very good) isn't "that" much better than the camera on the Mavic. It is better no doubt but not enough that most people will notice especially after post processing.

Anybody want a p3 adnaved. I've been dying for a mavic. I just want active track, collision avoidance is a plus. And it's faster so you can get those rolling side shots like crossing a bridge.

The P3 is a good craft and if you have the money I'd hang on to it just in case one goes down. You can then pick up the Mavic for your main and use the P3 for a backup or alternate shots if you have someone you trust to fly it. Would make for a interesting video having different angles and the image quality is similar and you could adjust it in post. I use Final Cut Pro X and Adobe Premier Pro (mainly for the warp stabilizer when doing hyperlapse). But you could color grade easily between both of them and the video would look identical.
