Well I just finish installing HID's in my pro today. I couldn't stand the halogens in projector housings anymore... so dim...

Installed Gen 4 55w Hylux ballasts & 6000k Bulbs from GTR Lighting
    20170117_131539.jpg
Sorry she's a bit of a salt lick at the moment :p
    20170117_131612.jpg
Ballasts are mounted directly below the headlight housing on both sides. as pictured.

I'll Be taking some more pictures later tonight of the beam and my interior lighting later tonight and will make a complete lighting post under the Lighting category.

I can't wait to see them at night. Being that it is winter in ND right now; before/after work it is always dark out. I work out of town so i was going stir crazy and had to upgrade. I had Gen 2 55w in my old subaru i had. Used them in the high beam reflector housing they were crazy bright.

This week I ordered a BedRug and a set of the Laminix fog light covers in yellow. Oh yeah, I retired again (third time, maybe one day I'll really retire!) last week, so this will be it for a while lol

If only Nelson's ribs would heel by next week ! The Pack is lacking in starters . Time for the rookies to shine !!!
On topic I ordered a cable to from the second gen forum for the anytime rearview cam mod. It allows for doing the mod without molesting the stock wiring .

That would be VERY frustrating ... just curious (sorry if you already mentioned) but do you have a history with this certain mechanic working on vehicles for you or know of others that he has replaced gears/pinions for? He obviously does not have something right ... hope it all works out for you, i can't imagine how frustrating it would be and would be hard not to loose your cool

Same. I'll probably change the grill at some point and add some accessories like bed mat and other small things. That's about it though.

I never had dealt with him before. The Gear Company told me about him. He acts like he's frustrated with my truck I don't understand why he doesn't understand how frustrated I am. I believe he's ran his own shop for 15 years 3 years at the location he's at now. I'm not sure about the mechanics that are working in his shop though. I know one guy has only been there a year . I would assume he at least overseas projects like gear Replacements.

Just kinda wing it each time lol. What I used this time is 2 pounds of pasta, 1 pound of smoked gouda, 1/2 pound of cheddar, 1/2 pound smoked parmesan, 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 1 pound bacon. I put all the cheese in a pot with the soup and made a cheese sauce. Low heat and stir often, it's very easy to burn cheese. Fry the bacon so it's not soggy but not crunchy either. Cut the bacon up, mix with the cheese, dump in the cooked pasta and mix it all up. I moved it all into a disposable tin tray like you get in walmart for like 3 bucks. Believe it or not, it was lacking on cheese even with all that. I'll probably use 1 extra pound of cheddar next time. For the bread crumb, I bought a loaf of sour dough from the bakery and sliced it about 3/4" thick and baked it at 300 on a cookie sheet until it was crunchy all the way though, about 30 minutes, flip the slices half way through. I then put the bread in a food processor with some parsley, sea salt, fresh ground pepper corns, and garlic. Chopped it up until it was fine like what you would buy in the store. Sprinkle it over the top of the mac & cheese and smoke at 225 for 1 hour uncovered. I used apple wood this time around. It's a $60 mac & cheese but you get a lot and it's awesome. Happy smoking!

Yes he needs to stop and put himself in your shoes for a bit and realize how he'd feel. I'm sure you put out alot of money and alot of time as well and to still not have it right .... then to have a guy trying to make you feel guilty by saying stuff like " i've lost money on your truck " .... it's hard these days to find a shop that you can trust to do things right, everyone's in a hurry to get each job done asap and bring in more $$$ , pretty sad
Hope this guy and his shop make things right for you. Keep us posted

I've ordered FN Countersteer Type X wheels (a very lightweight 20lbs ea at 17") as well as Toyo AT2 P285/70R17's that are light as well at 48 lbs. all together I'll be adding just 6 lbs per corner overall compared to stock which is negligible.

hard to tell for certain, but they look a little low and shallow to me. Then again, he also told you that the last set looked perfect, and we all know what happened there. Seriously questioning this guys ability

Okay, the lift itself would not cause the grinding your are experiencing. Further, you have a drop bracket lift, correct? Which lowers your front diff, so there shouldn't me much if any angle on your CV's. Kinda just looks like this guy wants to blame everyone but himself.

edit, he also doesn't know how to spell "togEther"
