No Joy. Download OE184 from Google drive link, formatted OE183 card, and wrote new image to card. Would not read the card. Restoring backup now. :(

Just went to the dealer. I asked them why my map data is may of 2015 when I just bought a 17. The parts guy looked at the model number on the front of my head unit and looked it up. It is suppose to have a 184 in it. It has a 183. He talked to the GM since this was a DX. He told the parts guy to order me a 184 and apologized. They think someone swapped the card before they sent the truck over. Anyway, 184 is on the way.

IDK where it is but there is a tread out here somewhere that tells where just a copy does not work.....funny how they make this stuff proprietary.

Whenever you go get it, please let us know if it's just plug and play, or if the dealer has to hook up the tech stream or do anything else.

Well, I gave it a try but no success. Downloaded OE184, took out the OE183 card from my Tacoma and made an image of it using Win32DiskImager. Formatted the original OE183 sd card to FAT32 using MiniToolPartition then loaded the OE184 image on it using Win32DiskImager. Installed it in the SD slot, turned on the Tacoma, and got the message "Unable to read the map SD data". Reinserted the card a couple times but same message. Went back and re-imaged the card with OE183, plugged it in and the Nav maps came back as normal. Anyone else besides ppauly have success?

Run an md5 checksum on it. That'll tell you if it's identical to others or not.

It'd also be interesting to have @ppauly run an md5 checksum on the major folders and top directory files of his working card for others to compare their cards to by running their own md5 checksums on those folders.

You are the only person to get this working... I wonder what you did differently. Strange.

That's what I got also for OE184 when looking at the file size in File Explorer, it's also the exact same size of the backup OE183 image I created.

Before and after pictures. I remember rebuilding the file structure I think on sd card (I'll see if I can look at the program later and see exactly what I did) then formatting it to fat32 before putting the image on it.
