Spec is 6.2qt with filter change.

Not sure if they're using bottles or a bulk supply for the 0W20. I'm sure they'll still round up even if bulk.

    No worries.

Funny how they wouldn't sell me 0.2qt of oil at the parts counter. Had to buy seven bottles when I did my (probably unnecessary but it was worth it for peace of mind) early oil change at 1600mi. :D

Typically, the amount on the invoice is basically for internal purposes only to keep some kind of inventory of what's in the oil tank. 5/6/7L or whatever is no indication of what is actually used. Unless they have a system that bills out the oil on the RO based on the metering system. It's possible, but rarely done from what I've seen.

If you are letting a Toyota dealer change your oil, I would focus on what the dipstick says more than the invoice.

My service tech put 6 quarts in mine. It showed the level at about a toothpick width below the full dot on the dipstick.

I let Toyota change my oil at 10k and 20k. I do it myself at 5k and 15k just to be safe.

Does your oil seem a bit high when you look at the dip stick?

Don't you just love when some ass hat asks a question and then disappears never to be heard from again?? I think all posts should be deleted if the OP doesn't respond to his fellow post replies within 24 hrs.

i do the 6 month and 18 month myself. so when i did the 6 month i slightly over filled a bit. when i checked the oil after my 12 month service found it to be slightly dark and slightly over filled that's why i have my doubts if they even changed it.

The dealer should have put in the correct amount of oil in the truck but....but could bill you for a full 7qts.

An old trick would be to make a mark on your oil filter like a date, or mileage with a marker. After the dealer oil change, take a peek at the oil filter. I know I know, these trucks now have paper filters within a housing but, you can make a mark on the housing, and where it screws into the block to see if it's been removed.

Yep, never hurts to index the key bolts/items with a grease pencil before service.
