That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure if there was a better option.

    Whole lotta stuff
    This.

You already have standards, so imagine them with better weight capacity. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
That is of course they ever come back in stock.

Ok fair enough. I love the standards. Wasn't sure if there was any option significantly better.

They're already back put of stock.

I think the AP expo will carry a little more weight than the Dakar. Either should be a good pack, depends on your rear axle weight. Also if you're ever going to fully unload all that stuff off the truck. If that's the case Dakars are probably better.

I don't really have any intentions of keeping the RTT off the truck for DD. The GF's 4runner is too tall with the RTT to park in the garage. Once I build the rear bumper it'll be on there all the time as well.

thats what i was hoping didnt happen.

Im fine with race truck part noises. Just fully cut into my frame and welded new shit on, wanted to confirm it was the bypasses or something else that i might be missing.

But i guess the generic saying really helped me out :anonymous:

Recently I lifted my front and now I'm getting a light clunk from the rear when shifting weight from turning and occasionally when driving straight or over dips. It sounds like something is shifting or not torqued down.

I checked all the bolts on the rear suspension and my spare tire. Took everything out of the cubbies and the sound is still there. My pinion is at 3.5* and I bought some 2.5* shims to correct the angle that I'll install this weekend. Any suggestions?

Did the bypasses make a big difference? I'm thinking about getting some when I do my SUA but it will cost about $2k over the cost of good smoothies from the extra cost of the bypasses and how I'd have to mount them. Really thinking about it hard.

they're a nice difference between my original 2.0 Fox's that actually were blown and needed a rebuild. I've adjusted the tubes a little to dial it in a little more. They were valved to what in theory would be a good starting point and so far i have no complaints.

But thats not to say a nicely paired 2.5 shocks with resi would net the same results in my case. But so far im happy i spent the little bit extra.

Please get bypasses if you're getting LT. If you are hedging about cost now when setting up your LT, you shouldn't be getting LT.

Message received loud and clear! I appreciate the suggestion. I'm not really interested in building a truck that can mob through whoops at max speed etc. I could use the money for a winch and locker that would suit my needs more than go fast performance off road. I'd like more up travel so I'm looking at TC's SUA kit - I'm more into what @Mxpatriot does with his truck and he likes his defined kit which is essentially the same thing.

I've read that 2.5 smoothies combined with hydro bumps can perform pretty well if valved correctly on other sites. There's no way I'm cutting up my bed and mounting smoothies is a lot easier since you can use the Ford or BAMF towers rather than hoops that would have to be custom made or are 6-7x the price if bought from TC. I'm not ruling out bypasses, but I'd like to hear some people explain the actual difference they've felt after going from smoothies to bypasses. Point taken though. I'm trying to buy parts that will not be beyond my needs. I thought I'd ask around.

I retorqued everything up front by loosening and torquing. I checked to see if everything is tight on the rear but didn't loosen it and actually retorque it. I might give that a try since there is a possibility however remote that the bushings could be tweaked from the small height difference out back from the lift.

By Saturday hopefully my friend can help me out in locating the noise by riding around in the back with the tailgate down. I've got a good abandoned parking lot where I can test drive my heap. I spent about an hour doing figure 8's yesterday in it listening to the sound lol.

Thanks - tonight I'm going to crank up the cam bolts to 110ft*lbs. I think I'm still getting a pop when making big 90* plus turns - I really hope this solves it otherwise I think I will have to pull the LCA's off and grease the sleeves. They came assembled with no grease and I'm worried they might be binding if the grease can't get all of the sleeve when I put it in from the zerk. Not sure if this is sound reasoning but what I can think of at the moment.

Is there an advantage of running Hein steering on a mid travel truck? I know a few do it for LT but haven't seen many on mid travel? Thoughts on this?
