It's a private lake and I think you have to pay to use it.

Were you staying at a resort or B&B in the area?

Hunter's lake is around the corner and is just as nice. That's a State lake

:notsure: Everything I've ever read on it says it's free access (except for watercraft rentals) if you are staying in a resort or local rental. Maybe they don't police it?

I might be down for something like this. I was also thinking of setting up a camping trip for a night by the abandoned pa turnpike. Couple forest roads surrounding the area as well as off road vehicle trails.

Anyone familiar with the Jim Thorpe area? My buddy and I are going to see Umphreys McGee at Penn's Peak, but want to watch the Steelers game before the show. Any suggestions?

do believe they will be showing the game at the bar beforehand. If not at the bottom of the hill from the peak there's a bar/restaurant,

Did Jersey Shore get its odor problem figured out yet? Been seeing in the news about town being plagued by something nasty smelling.

Rotten radishes on a farm across the river. Farmer planted them but the warm weather messed the crop up
