Well I think we only had one official mod day in 2016. What's up for 2017? Get the band back together?

So I'm gonna go ahead and ask the newbie questions here. I plan on lifting the truck. I think ideally I would like to go with the bilstein 5100 with 888 coils. Now for the rear bilstein 5100 with ome daker leafs. For the rims 17 x 8 -10 mm offset 4.1 backspacing with 275/70/17 tire.

What will I use the truck for? Not for rock crawling. I would enjoy going on a moderate trail some time-to-time. Rough dirt roads.

Why am I not looking at fox, icon or king suspension? Too many complex components that I feel the truck wouldn't need.

It seems that most people do enjoy the ride out of that set up. Do you guys see any complications that I could run into later Down the line?

Only problem i see is that you will be cursing yourself when you are swapping this setup and going with Kings because you should have just done it originally.

    But yeah.....good luck.

That's what I'm curious about. On my s2000 I spent ALOt of money on suspension and it demonstrates itself well on the track days.

You won't be disappointed with the King ride quality on the street, even with the off-the-shelf valving specific for the Tacoma. If ordered from DSM, you can also request them to be valved for an even more street friendly ride.
Have you looked into the Bilstein 6112 front coilovers?
Also think about UCA's, you'll need them with the original setup you were thinking about and pretty much any other setup added ride height. JBA and Camburg both make ball joint UCA's if you're looking for something with lower maintenance. I like the JBA's because they use a greasable Chevy balljoint that you can find replacements for at almost any part house. They're newish to Toyota but I think they've worked out the kinks they had when they originally came out.

why aren't you considering the Toytec kit? I think that's what I'm going to go with. the Boss 2.5 front and rear with progressive leafs in the rear.

Hello folks. Wanted to see if anyone would be willing to share their opinions about living in your part of NV. What I’m doing is looking at potential areas to retire in the next few years and Nevada is on my short list. You seem to get all four seasons, I never see y’all on the news with any catastrophic weather events although I don’t know how impacted by earthquakes you might be. But the one thing I really like is that Nevada seems to be fairly tax friendly, meaning I get to spend more of my pension of fun stuff. Anyway, if I wanted to venture out beyond the suburbs maybe East of 580, would y’all say that the area is an attractive place to settle down? Or any other places I should explore. Thanks

NV is great. Depending on your political alignment, real NV doesn't include Washoe or Clark county. Unfortunately I'm still in one of those counties.

Ok Thanks. So Washoe and Clark include the metro areas that I'm sensing you don't care for. If I were looking further east on I80 or maybe down around the Carson City area I'd be better off? I just don't want to be so far out that it's an hour's drive to get everyday groceries.

I like gardnerville for something close to Reno. Lamoille & Jarbidge & Denio are possible retirement locations in my book.

I'm guessing you've had the opportunity to explore a good portion of the state, some of those areas seem pretty remote. Love the scenery that came up when I searched Lamoille & Jarbidge & Denio. Jarbidge looks pretty rustic:
