IMG_0003.jpg IMG_0061.jpg IMG_0003.jpg IMG_0061.jpg IMG_0063.jpg Well today I felt a little bold. Decided to go ahead and remove the front air damn. You know, the annoying front chin that resides under the front bumpber for aerodynamics allegedly... Anyhow, I removed it and I kept thinking something looked a little off with the front of the truck, and I noticed the skid plate seemed crooked. So I gave it a good bang like every one does before they fix something and the plate goes upward to reveal the bolt was half-way out. WTF? I paid nearly 40k for this vehicle and they couldn't make sure this was securely bolted down? Good thing I decided to remove the air damn or that would have been dragging the ground before I knew it.

    It's a 35k truck, in my book that's almost 40k.

Sticker price for this one was 35.. But I mean, that's not the point. I didn't make this post to see who paid less than I did.

In case it matters to you, I was also 2k updside down on a previous car, which I put onto the truck making it a 37k truck. Is that okay with you? :D

    Also, I notice you have a 2016.. I have a 2017

The SR5 prices are also affected by how much extras they tacked on. I like to know what people got on their SR5's because it's interesting to know.

Plus there's like 25 or so variations...which makes my head cave in thinking about it.

I'd request, no demand, a brand new truck for this oversight.

lmao, perhaps I will.. A TRD PRO is in order for the same price.

I could though take it to them and have double check that every single bolt on the undercarriage is good and tight.

Is that the same skid plate you have to remove to change the oil filter?

You guys are all hateful... as much as I would like to join in I will try to be serious.

My guess is the tech that installed the initial oil hand tightened the bolts then forgot to torque them... this is nothing to do with the truck or it's quality. Simple human error ;) Relax and enjoy it.

Looks good without the dam ... I also took mine off today
