engine imobilizer system light problem

Got a new transponder key at the local locksmith, that night I noticed eis light stayed on, disconnected battery and normal operation occurred til next operation of 08 sport. don't want to go to stealership, any help greatly appreciated.

 

over 24 hours, crickets, not good, going back to the lock smith on Monday,

 

Does the truck start and run? Or do you just have an issue with the light.

Need more information.

 

yea starts runs .when you pull out the key the light stays on. unhooked battery and normal flash occurs til you put key in ignition then flashes two short pulses instead of 1, when you take out key light stays on,put key in 2 short flash pattern occurs, unhooking battery normalizes,as soon as you put key in starts the 2 flash pattern

 

reprogramed by cycling ignition key 5 times on off.
