So I have read many threads about this and it is still confusing and the search function is not coming up with what I am looking for. I understand the recovery point is on the passenger side. The driver side is just for tie down during transport. So is the stock recovery point on the passenger side just ready to put a d-ring through the hole. What size d-ring fits. Or is there an aftermarket product that goes on here. Preferably just some bolts removed and re-installed. I don't want to do any welding or fabricating. Anyone have a specific product I can buy from somewhere that works.

Made this one from a solid aluminum bar and replaced the "tin boxes"' on each side of the front frame x-member. The 6061 aluminum is same strength as mild steel. Bar is 1.0 thk x 2.80 width - drilled and tapped for the attaching screws - and 7/8 hole for the shackle.

Each one is strong enough to dangle the Taco.

Noticed these "tin boxes" on either side of the frame. Does anyone know the purpose of them?
